Developing People

Employees are an organisation's greatest asset - and any opportunity for skill development should be seized!

Working with local businesses doubles the stakes: not only will your employees be offered new opportunities, but their employees may also benefit from the chance to develop new skills. Furthermore, partnership working can increase capactiy, leading to more ambitious projects that whole communities benefit from.

  • Team Building activities normally concentrate on larger, more practical jobs.  They can prevent an opportunity for developing communication and teamworking, as well as the specific skills that the task requires.
  • Employee Volunteering schemes can increase the number of volunteers involved in your organisation. As well as building capacity, the skills and knowledge that these volunteers can offer could present new areas for development.
  • Skills and Relationships. Mentoring schemes can bring your organisation into contact with different areas of expertise.  Whilst you will benefit from their skills and knowledge, mentors also welcome the chance to develop their skills in business support and teaching.
